About Utah Atlas
A Living Atlas of Utah
Utah Atlas is an independent editorial publication dedicated to covering the full breadth of the State of Utah — from the Wasatch Front to the red-rock canyons of the south, from Salt Lake City boardrooms to Cache Valley farms.
We built Utah Atlas around a simple idea: the state deserves to be read like a field journal, not a headline feed. Every story is a place in the atlas — a community, a landscape, a business, an idea — and every reader is invited to explore it one entry at a time.
What We Cover
Our reporting spans statewide policy and government, local community life, public lands and conservation, business and technology, travel and outdoor culture, beauty and wellness, sports, and opinion. We report from Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, St. George, Logan, Moab, Park City, Cedar City, and the rural counties in between.
Our Approach
Utah Atlas is produced with care for accuracy, context, and readability. We do not chase sensationalism, and we do not treat any single region of the state as more newsworthy than another. Every corner of Utah has a story worth telling well.
